Tongue and Groove: dinner

January 14, 2010

Last night was a night for a friendly dinner at a place I had not visited previously: Tongue and Groove. This bar/restaurant is a popular new spot in the city (just off Garema Place) for after work drinks – and we were very much in the midst of that scene!

The menus were so tactile.
And food was reasonably priced for the quality.

T&G decor embraced the structural elements of the building’s architecture.
Bare concrete bollards, support beams in the ceiling – but somehow it added to the atmosphere.

I enjoyed my ‘fish fingers’ very much!
The right consistency of battered flaky fish and perfectly matched with aioli and lemon.

I may have over done it by adding on a choc-mousse martini at Koko Black for dessert!
(But it was soooo good it doesn’t matter)

And this is what I find when I get home πŸ™‚
